Close-Up:

  • It stimulates my creativity to play in a group where I feel I have space to develop my own personality as I perform. I love chamber music and playing in an orchestra where all the different voices are carefully arranged. I find this musical dialogue inspiring, and I have a lot of fun with it.
  • There is no particular musical period I prefer above the others. I love contemporary music, classical music, especially romantic music. In fact I like switching around, because each language is enriching.
  • Whenever I step onto a stage, I feel two things: respect and gratitude; respect for the music and the people I will be playing with and the people we will be playing for; gratitude for being given this opportunity to enjoy and express myself and communicate through music. The adrenaline rush heightens these feelings.
  • I would love to hear Isabelle Faust play the Bach Violin Sonatas and Partitas because the way she does it is amazing. I would also love to hear Daishin Kashimoto, Gilad Karni, Sol Gabetta and Nelson Goerner play Schumann’s Piano Quartet in E-flat major.
  • What I remember most about my first concert with Nostrum Mare Camerata is how easy it was to work with everybody and how friendly people were even when we weren’t rehearsing. The concert was in the Torrevieja International Auditorium, and we had lots of fun on the way there. And, afterwards, I really enjoyed playing the concert itself.
