Close-Up:

  • My philosophy of life is to study and devote my time to what I love doing. Today, in any field, it is very difficult to have the guarantee of a steady job, particularly if you are just starting out. This holds true to the world of music where there are few opportunities for stable, quality work, while there are many highly qualified musicians. Training as a professional musician is, in and of itself, a gift. Learning how to understand the language of music and being able to observe it from a deeper perspective than someone who does not have this insight is indeed a privilege.
  • At some point in my life, I would love to learn to play a wind instrument. I love the trumpet.
  • I’m always nervous when I step onto a stage although I am getting better and better at handling my nerves and fully enjoying the concert. I start with shaking knees and, in just a few minutes, I get a feeling of peace, security and calm and begin to enjoy myself. A musician needs to know how to control their nerves on stage, and doing so gives you a great sense of satisfaction.
  • I am very demanding with myself when it comes to meeting my short-term goals. Because of this, I set useful objectives in my daily life, and always set the bar high, both when I am studying for a performance and when I am on stage.
  • Nostrum Mare Camerata is one of the ensembles for young musicians that provides steady work. We all help each other out and respect and support one another. We also laugh a lot. Besides playing in the same orchestra, we are friends, and in many cases, we have been playing together for years. As we know each other so well, it is easier to work together and connect with each other. This is Nostrum Mare Camerata: A single musical and human brain dancing the same steps in a single direction. It is definitely the group I feel most connected to, where I have fun and learn all about and about people as well.
